Your vehicles as they sit now!

Ya the diesel 6sp autos are not so great in the 4th gens, tend to blow up rather easily after adding any extra power to the cummins

I know a guy with a 800rwhp crew cab dually who is on his 10th rebuild in his 68rfe, just not enough beef there to hold together under that much torque. He said he can pretty much destroy it on command and its been built with the best parts available for that trans

Sounds like an allison imo

newer gen allison, at least the one in the lml, can handle more than the older, pretty substantially. there are guys running 600+ that are still stock. about 550 seems to be the safe zone for them, im right around ~530 right now and after the relearn, doing great. temp holds good, never even seen +100 over ambient and that's what dudes on the forum are saying is about normal.

but allison is smooth and can be built to hold 2000hp

the 5 speed can only hold 380-400rwhp
the lbz 6 speed can hold around 430-480rwhp

and yeah i know a guy that is about to be running a SDP twin s480 over a 72mm danville with 60% over injectors and kory willis tuning.
should be around 750hp on stock trans and motor.
not saying its reliable but its possible for it to hold it for a few pulls on the dyno.

EDIT: he is however running a lock-up box so his trans wont shift on the dyno and he has already had his trans rebuilt under warranty so it only has around 5,000 miles on it.

fantastic on the highway also. very grippy.

good to know cause #racetruck
