Whore out your tint

Good lord, and I thought your header install took a long time lol

I shipped them on the 4th of last month and just got them back a couple days ago lol, not my fault. Working too much to have my truck down and out lol

Does 5 on the front and 20 over the factory rear tint match pretty good? That's what I was thinking of doing next time if I can't find someone that has 10 or 15%. My 20 isn't dark enough but my last truck sucked with 5% all around

Just gotta do the math broski. 20% decimal conversion is .20, so .20 x .20 is .04 which is damn close to .05 which is 5%. If you can find some one with 50% and 20%, they could double layer it to make 10%. Honestly for driving at night in the country, somewhere between 10% and 15% would be ideal. I can't see shit outta my sides on a backroad

Hmm, never really gave the math any thought. I need to call around and find someone with more options. The 2 places I've used only have 50, 32, 20, and 5

20 over stock on the back, double layer of 20 and 50 to make 10 on the sides and 32 on the shield. Done prawfittt

You ever had a problem with layering tint? Cuz the most recent tint guy I used won't do layers. He won't really give an actual reason for it but he won't do it. Just like he'll do shield tint but won't do a strip as well

Two layers of tint is no problem, I ran 2 layers of tint for over 2 years. I do know that sometimes you can't put the second layer on until the first layer cures completely.

Find a new tinter. It's all in the base layer. Any bubbles that would be visible would be in the base layer, there is a larger margin of error afforded in the second layer since the darkness of the base would mask any imperfections. The only thing I may see is allowing the base layer to dry so that it adheres to the glass and doesn't move around during the application of the second layer. The tint guy I use is younger than me and has come along way since I knew him in high school. Has no problem doing multiple layers even on roll downs. I guess maybe it helps that his personal rig is a nbs duramax so all his tinkering and tricks that he has done with his truck can be directly applied to mine but in short there should be no issues with the right tinter

Well was going to redo my 5% with 15% on fronts and leave factory 3. Idk thinking I should do 20% over rear...

What I'm gonna do on the escape is 20% on the 2 fronts to match the factory and 50% on the shield. Then in a couple months throw another layer on all the windows minus the shield.

Can anyone make a recommendation for me? single can obs chevy. I don't want anyone to see in while they're sitting next to me at the light. But living in a rural area, I need to be able to see out at night without rolling down the windows. I have 5% on the drivers window and can't see a fucking thing. Is there an alternative? Maybe a specific type of tint? Help! Lol

Welders can weld, and fitters can fit, but the porta-can-man knows his shit.

I have 20 on my sides and 5 on the rear on my regular cab. The sides meter around 16. Still have good night time visibility and its dark enough during the day :imo:

Is it road head dark, or just dark? Lol

Just ordering a 100 foot roll of 5 and 18 from suntek... their CXP stuff. Going to tint our new equipment first to see how I like it. Will post pics
