Viper Remote Start/keyless entry question

About two weeks ago my viper system stopped locking and unlocking as well as the remote start. I'm not crazy familiar with this system, already tried unhooking the battery in my truck and plugging it back up but the problem still persists. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance for any help!

is it a two way system? if it is, do you see lights on the remote when you push buttons? Who installed it?

Remote battery is fine. It's a one way system. The antenna blinks fast like it's still locked though. I bought it and it has the system in it so I'm not sure who installed it unfortunately

Sounds like a twist-loc came loose

Would bet money that the obd2 link has came loose. It's what links your alarm to your truck unless its installed the old school way.

i garrentee its the remote.

i have that issue with mine, i buy a new remote, program it and bam good for another year and change.

Haven't had time to screw with it yet. But last night while I was laying in bed I noticed it was bright outside and my truck with the keys out of the ignition. Could that still be the remote?

Could it randomly starting in the middle of the night be a problem with the remote?

sounds like theres a short in your wiring,

i could be the remote. the remote may have issues, if you had the batt out of the remote and it did it, then i would say its a short in the truck

Viper be iffy, I've seen first hand my alarm go off for no reason.

even when trying to relearn it? it just dies? That gets expensive fast.

I could just need a relearn. But whoever installed it didn't connect it to the horn. When it did work the only way I could tell if it locked was hearing the locks after I pushed the button

normally i get around a year and a half out of them they are beat to shit by then and i just spend like 25 bucks on a completely new remote
