Tyler's snowmobile build(ish)

Honestly,

I've had a ton of sleds, wedge, edge, prox, IQ, everything inbetween,

ride the Wedge for this year, then sell the sled, and buy yourself a Pro-X 600. You wont regret it. And will probably save money in the long run.

This will stay around as a spare when I upgrade, then my dad will have something to ride since so I don't have to ride alone. A Pro X 600 is what I want tho, when I get one I would like the blue/yellow combo because you don't see as many. Guy that gifted me the XLT has an 01 Pro X 600 I would like to buy from him (only has 1100 miles). Wouldn't mind a Cat Sno Pro either

They dont make a Blue/Yellow Pro-X, the Blue/Yellow sleds are Edge-X's. Basically a exterior package for a regular XC Edge chassis. Pro-X's are alot different.

Ic I thought the blue/yellow was pro x also, guess I'll have to pony up for a pro X2 so I can get black and silver plus dem resi shocks

Forgot to update this, found out some history on, was wrecked in late 90s (tore some front suspension off) so front is already the wider setup(kind of suspected this) and I bought an Xtra 10 rear skid that just need to be power washed and greased. The bogey wheels, hifax and shocks are good so I'm not even going to bother rebuilding just a good cleaning and grease it and get that swapped in, I got the matching taller front foxes so those will get swapped and they are predicting some snow for later in the week so I'll get it out and see how it runs when it's cold because it's sure didn't like it when it was 60*, ran ok but sounded lIke it was a little lean and just overall was super happy with the extra warmth(not super surprised). Also going to check out the clutch, I think I may have some surface rust in it because it was having a hard time engaging 100%. Will get some better pics during the swap and if I get it out since it's only seen snow twice in the last probably 8 years.

Skid is out, going to clean up the"new" one and get it in. New is on the left

No updates with the skid, it's still out and still needs to be painted but I did pick up a set of Polaris factory plastic skis for $40, they need new carbide and have a couple nicks but overall in decent shape. So pretty much just get the skis on, new skid in and then rebuild the engine and carbs so hopefully I can ride it for a few winters without any problems.
