Figured this is appropriate.
Couple of days ago I had my Denali dropped off at the dealer (I'm currently deployed) for the first oil change and a couple of issues. One being the rpms fluctuate when the truck is stopped with the AC on (around 500-550rpms) and the other that there is a sharp noise whenever the truck is remotely started (like the starter snagging the flexplate).
First go around, they changed the oil, and then told me there is nothing wrong that the noise is because of the muffler I installed on the truck (lol wut) and they could not replicate the RPM issue (happens every time). I was then told the truck had the famous 35-60 mph shudder and that they flushed the TC 3 times per the TSB but now the truck is smoking and fluid is leaking onto the exhaust which you guess it, is caused by the muffler.
After being relayed this information, I'm fucking livid. I end up spending 25$ to call the dealership at 0400 my time to ask wtf is going on. The service director first tells me that the muffler didn't cause anything and he has no reason why his service advisor told me that. Secondly, he said he was the one whom test drove the truck and noticed the shudder but also said when he turned around the truck in a parking lot down the road and gave it some pedal, the truck blew out a massive cloud of blue smoke. Now I'm like WTF cause first off thats NEVER happened, second off wtf did they do. I replied and asked if they straight up overfilled the transmission and now its puking out the vents which he stated no they haven't even done the flush (more contradictions). He stated he believes it is because of the AirRaid JR intake tube that I installed on the truck. Take in mind i"ve owned 3 of these trucks and not one had that issue. Whatever..... He stated he was going to put an OEM one on and test and see. First thing on Monday.
Fast forward to Monday afternoon. I get a random facebook message from one of my troops at my home base stating he saw the Denali at the dealership and the dude was peeling out of the parking lot and the bitch with pouring blue smoke out the back. Yet, Monday has come and gone and I have not heard jack shit from the dealership.
Now I'm not tool well versed in GDI engines and know they have their moments, black smoke? Sure probably an ignition/injection problem. But blue smoke, and lots of it? Thats cot damn oil. Wtf......... Take in mind the truck still only has low 4 digit mileage.
