Gotta agree. I like the forearm tat though. I've really been wanting something new myself. Kinda wanna get my sons name inside my right arm. Don't really care what people think about that either lol. Been thinking about doing old school chevrolet style font. Something similar to this

I have depressive bipolar. This Phoenix half sleeve is for the daily battle I have with being better, rising above the negativity and shit I've been through. The Phoenix is kinda the unofficial bipolar symbol. And I loved the quote, it's a Maya Angelou poem.
This ones a tiny, feminine barbell to represent how much being in the gym changed me. I was on a bunch of meds, just had the kids, was unhealthy and all. Got in the gym, lost 90 lbs and got off my meds. Haven't turned back since. The "I suffered, I learned, I changed." Quote went perfectly.

Getting something like this in the near future. Jumping on that project semicolon train. It's a good cause.
Also want something like this. No date in it, I'd want a simple compass in the middle. It's the golden snitch (I'm the biggest Harry Potter nerd ever). In the story he interacts with this before he thinks he's going to die and it saves him. The compass is an obvious connection to life direction. I think it could be a freaking sick, but meaningful piece.
