I recently swapped my centerline wheels for my texas edition ( early NNBS 20s ) and while the looks are so much better one of the wheels has started peeling. The clear coat is all cracked and looks really bad,! I want to keep OE wheels but the cost of getting it repaired is about the cost of a new replica.
That being said... Does anyone has any first hand experience between OEM and Reps? I was wondering if the paint is close enough to where if I put a tire on it and put it on my truck that I wouldn't notice it? I was thinking, that a company cant exactly copy the wheel because GM would sue them, so I would imagine there will be a difference in color and maybe design???
I cant seem to find just 1 wheel locally, and I don't want to buy a whole new set, hand pick the best 4 then sell them! Just seems like too much work! I am getting bids to repair the wheel and the cheapest one is $150.00 and I have always been told to never take the cheapest option. The most expensive is $225.00 which is almost a new wheel!
Any input is greatly appreciated
