Need I say more?

I hate bug & tar remover. I think I've used it twice.

What's the best method for removing them, without harming the finish? Honestly if there's a way to do it without stripping the wax off of the hood that'd be awesome too. I have to be selective of weather/time of day when i wax my truck #blacktruckproblems, so I'm not out waxing it once a month like I should be lol.

Thanks guys.

Presoak with waterless wash or rinseless wash and then wash off. I usually do the front end till the end with its own wash pad since they will get dirty with bug guts/parts

Would like to know as well. Previous owner never cleaned mirror caps. So many bugs I don't think I can get them out.

Awesome. Was going to order some waterless wash with the MexiDay sale anyway.

Now that you mention it, I think Samb used that method in one of his threads I read a little while back.

I'll have to break the habit of washing the front first then lmfao. I'll just back into the driveway lol.

Yeah I always did top down. So roof first. I dunno, front end immediately afterwards always seemed like a natural progression lmfao

i have an apc that i use, safe on clear (has been so far at least LOL) and it gets everything off no problem. it strips anything though, so not sure if you want that option.

Yeah my problem is keeping wax on the leading edge of the damn hood. And APC would just put me right back to where I was with a bug and tar remover :imo:

Have it on my rockers... not super impressed. It's supposed to be "invisible" but it really isn't lol.

scg hydroseal did a great job with bugs and shit. pat, try some of the adams H20g&g and see how that works for you.

Auto finesse citrus power
It's a citrus base pre soak that does wonders and is PH balanced so it won't strip
If u have a power washer you won't even have to scrub

Might have to try this. What steps do you use?

And where do you buy it? Google shows nothing but reviews

I just spray it on before throwing any water on the car, let it sit for 3-4 min and power wash it off
It's great for an overall pre soak in general not just bugs
Item is currently on backorder
But if u can get ahold of their Avalanche snow foam it's basically the same formula but for a foam cannon
Idk if u have one though
Very sought after product from the UK, I personally haven't seen many like it readily available

Interesting. I'll probably get the H2O G&G and hit the front of the hood after each wash or wax.
