I've been noticing my carpets turn to shit pretty fast after using my BLGM. Neighbor of mine who cleans carpets professionally told me there was too much soap in it, sure enough he was right. My advice, dont be liberal with the soap too much is worse than too little.

In order to clean the carpets I took the water hose and put the attachment on mist and just soaked the shit out of the carpet, then I used my vacuum to suck up the water. Because my carpets were so bad I had to repeat the process numerous times.

Soap in your carpets is bad news, as you noticed. Soap does a fair job cleaning, but the residue it leaves behind usually attracts more dirt over time than you cleaned out of it.

For this very reason, our Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner is saline-based, so it doesn't lather up and leave dirt-attracting residue behind. For really nasty carpets that are too far gone for spot treating, I use it in our Bissell Pet Pro Cleaner and it works like a champ. My wife has even started using it for cleaning the carpets in the house because it works better than the Bissell shampoo.
