except shipping wars is a bunch of asshats underbidding eachother for competition. no money to be made on uship because everyone underbids to a ridiculously low amount.

uship served me well, but I was smart, I placed my truck on there, then contacted the dude privately on the phone. He shipped my Tahoe with the thing loaded down with shit inside of it from Norfolk, Virginia to my house for $600. It helped that he was already picking up a vehicle a couple hours away and dropping off another one in Dallas, then to California, and back to Maryland.

Everyone else wanted around $1k. It would have probably cost me that much to fix it myself (no time since I was deploying and had no house) and fuel it up and drive it back, or to have my dad drive his truck and trailer to VA and back to TX.

I regret selling it though! Should have LS swapped it like I planned and got a decent daily...hindsight...

Yeah looking at it better it's definitely shopped. The grille to bumper gap in the middle is non existent and it looks too clean everywhere else to have that and the hood messed up.

"Hot Shot trucking is when the driver uses a smaller than normal trailer and semi truck. Another name for a Hot Shot truck is a Less Then Truck Load (LTL). Most of the trucks considered hot shot are 1-ton diesel trucks that can carry a license for up to 36,000 pounds. When people enter the trucking business they have to decide if they want to be under a trucking company or work as an independent. There are many additional factors that have to be considered when you work for yourself. "

basically truck driving with a pickup and trailer

not trying to argue here, but LTL is a broad term that is used across the trucking industry, referring to having more then one "shipment" in the truck. like half the load going one place, and the other half going somewhere else, hence its not a full truckload or freight shipment. While most hot shots are LTL, i wouldnt consider LTL another name for hot shot. its the method of trucking that they are doing. my senior capstone was on the trucking industry, very interesting industry.

im assuming that definition was off wiki?
