They're rated for 150,000 clicks, so I wouldn't be too worried about 36k imo.

Hell, my 5d has over 100k from what the listing description said. I haven't had one issue with it at all.

My 30D was creepin up on 200K. :D Granted it had the shutter replaced at 167K, it was only rated for 90 or 100K. Dont be too hung up on shutter count. It could go at anytime. Just grab one and go to town. I bought my 50D with about 1800 on it, has like 10k on it now after like 2 years.

Dont be bummed about missing a camera. They will pop back up. Wait until AFTER christmas. A month or so afterwards, the camera stores are filled with goodies. People getting rid of cameras because they go new ones for Christmas, or they got one for Christmas and it was "too fancy" or "too complicated" for them. Thats how my 50 ended up in the store, was too much camera for the gal who had it and was intimidated by it.

Enough gum flappin, how bout some pictars

So do I.

One thing I noticed on Flickr, you were shooting at like 1/40 or 1/50 shutter speed on some of the pics. There was a little bit on blur on the 3/4ish shot of matts truck. Nothing major, but definitely because of the shutter speed. Was that something you picked or the camera?

That being said, the shots look awesome!

Aaaand I'm still waiting for a RC chop of matts truck to make me think bad thoughts

i think the blur on that one was more of the focus issue on what it chose to focus on. The handles and doors are beautiful but the front and back have blur

taken at 1/50 @ f5.0 I tried to shoot most the shots in f8-f14 but it was on Priority mode and danced around a few times without me noticing. But overall i fkn love this camera over my old one.

um yes. do this.

The truck shots are good Sam. I didnt look as hard at them as Chris obviously did but 1/40 is a bit slow. That being said, if you have 17mm or wide there shouldnt be any issues.

And honestly, unless you are trying to get clouds or water to blur, you really shouldnt ever have to shoot above f8, IMO

It's all good man, just was bored last night and looked at the pics full screen and caught it lol. It seems to be a great camera from the shots you've posted.

I am very torn. I know I'd never live it down though lol.

(pssst, it isn't dented anymore)

But I get what you're saying. Only thing is, right now you can't see the rockers which need to be redone. If it was lifted you would lol.

Solg my d3000 today. So I'm I'm the market for a new camera of anyone knows. Looking to buy around 350 for just a body.

So I got my d7000 today.....thus bitch is bad. Love the hell out of it. Feels like such more solid camera then the 3000. I love that I can actually take pics inside the house and not be all grainy. Maybe I'll try to post a few pics later

Nice man, congrats! I really enjoyed mine for the few months I had it. Definitely a very nice step up from the 3000 series.
