Painted mirror caps

hey guys

Ive never had painted caps on my trucks, either stock or tow mirrors.

Whats the run down on them? My crew cab has all black mirrors with a black panel on them, while my red 06 Had jsut all black mirrors, no panel.

does the panel pop off my cc and you can buy smooth ones? Or do people just get stick over ones and paint them?

Pop them off, smooth and paint..they are held on with little clips all the way around and double sided tape
Put a screw driver under the edge and pull on it and it should pop off pretty easily, or you could get some factory smooth caps from a salvage yard and just repaint

What Dakota said. Except don't use a screwdriver. I used a butter knife. Worked great to pry it up, plus it easily cut thru the double sided tape that held it on.

If you wanna get specific, I actually did use a nylon trim tool. Used that at first just to get it started then I grabbed a butter knife to cut the double sided tape. But not everyone has a nylon trim tool, so I didn't mention it. But if you have a Harbor freight near you, they sell them for cheap. That's where I bought mine.

Yah Sold rcsb around the same time I sold my LMM. Kid that bought it is selling, made a deal on price. However I wanna build a shop in spring and not sure I cna swing both.

Not sold yet, but this is the color. Think it would look badass, but the jams will still be old man gold, which i think will big the shit outta me
