My 88 RCSB

Gathering official parts list for the next couple months
-new pads, rotors and hoses up front
-wheel cylinder, hose out back for brakes (forgot it had "new" brakes in rear, they have like 10k miles on them from total rebuild but was about 7 years ago)
-shocks
-tune up (cap, rotor, wires, plugs, O2 sensor)
-cab mounts
-Posi-lock (cable setup to replace front accuator setup)
-transfercase shift linkage
-put front driveshaft back in
-hitch and wiring
-marker lights and plate light housing
-intermediate pipe and new muffler
-passenger seat belt
-Sway bar bushings and endlinks (still undecided if this will go back on)
-get idler arm warrantied
-new faceplate and trim ring
-new 4x6s for pillars and dash
-build a box and either toss in an amp and a 10 or 12 I have sitting around

After that it should be a night and day difference in overall driveability and be a usable truck again. It'll stay ugly for a few years still but this winter I'd like to start gathering parts for a SAS, will be CJ7 and square body brackets with 52s and depending on what I can find for a deal on an axle either a 10 bolt and a 91-92 passenger drop 241 or a high pinion 44 with 10 bolt outters, I'd prefer the 44 but not opposed to a 10 bolt since I'm only planning on 4ish inches of lift and 33s

Also noticed the other day my power steering pump pull has some wobble to it, pulley is $25 so I'll throw a new one on and if it still wobbles I'll get a new pump

Not much to update right now, tossed in a stock radio since the alpine shit the bed and good HVAC control head that I had. Next week will be ordering speakers, exhaust stuff, tune up parts and probably shocks (just going Skyjacker hydros because I'm not sure if this will be going up or down but the front shocks are 10 years old and the rear look like the originals), also front pads and rotors. Should be good for a while after that but still want to do cab mounts before the end of the summer.

So apparently the F44 suspension hubs fit great with worn down brakes but actually have about 1/8-1/4" thicker flanges, you'd never guess it but new brakes for non F44 don't fit by about 1/8-1/4" :ayfkm: so tomorrow I'll hopefully find a hub in stock somewhere and get it back together.

Brakes went on great with the correct hub. Tune up is done after fckn pick up coil cracked when I took the rotor off luckily parents neighbor is cool af and had a TBI 350 sitting in his garage so he just gave the entire distributor out of it put my newish module and new cap/rotor on it. Need to actually time it instead of doing it close enough while it was running. Speakers are all in and sounded decwnt with the factory HU but stopped at best buy and they were having a sale so...

new HU. Have a JVC 12" in a truck box, MTX mono amp and install wiring in garage so going to have bomps again, not loud but should sound decent. Once I set timing I think I might even wash it but will definitely get pictures of it somewhere other than my driveway.

Baby bomps in. MTX JH300, 350 watt 12 and the box I had left over from my 04. I'd like to get a better 10 and maybe a new amp but this will do for now.

Put tcase linkage back in, locks in in every range, front axle doesn't :fp: . I have checked wiring before, it's all good, sensor on tcase is good, accuator has only been engaged like 3 times so it's still good.........fuck the factory wiring it's getting a toggle switch tomorrow
