I have a comp cam in my truck. Been in there a year without issue
So as I understand it you have to run heavier oil after a cam swap. What determines the weight you useAs do I. But I run good oil too. Redline 10W-40 always

Personally I went with my tuner's advice but climate/temps would play a factor. I like the Redline 10w-40 as it doesn't get too thin when hot. With oil temps in the low 200's, I can still maintain 45psi at idle and 50 under any throttle with a HP/SV pump. LS7 lifters, BTR platinum PR's, stock rockers with Comp trunion upgrade and Comp cam 23x 24x 62x 62x 113 with 14* overlap.
I also look at oil as protecting my investment. Is $11 /qt too much when you have $15k in your motor? No.
Haha well that's ballsyI can do that. No problem. Next Monday will be 3 years ago that I bought it bone stock and laughed at the salesman that offered to sell me a warranty...
Cam motion uses better blanks imo than comp. Pat can do either. Check his site out first. There's info there. Then decide based on what you feel is best. Plenty guys running comp without issues.
