Nothing new, just stocking up some parts and making decisions for new wheels come spring time.
Took advantage of Powerstop's black Friday deals on RockAuto for 15% off, plus a 5% coupon code I found on the other forum. Ended up buying 05+ front rotors (which are 1" larger in diameter than 04 and older models, requiring 17s or larger), pads, and calipers, along with a Tahoe rear brake setup, which upgrades mine from single to dual piston calipers, plus rotors and pads. Still need to buy stainless braided lines and fluid. It should be a nice upgrade over the stock setup.
I need to redo the exhaust at some point. The welds aren't the best and the clamps are coming loose and not holding as well as they did when they were new 6 years ago. Either gonna find an exhaust shop and have them custom bend everything or buy a cat back and modify it a tad. While that's happening I have to add a bung for my wideband somewhere. Everything I've read says put it close to or on the collector, but that will only give me readings from one side and I'd like to have more data from both banks, not just one. So thinking just after the merge in the Y pipe will be fine for my needs. Then I can data log more detailed data to send off to Richard to see if he can fine tune it a bit more and maybe be a bit more aggressive.
So 4500ish miles and the stock G80 is still intact, stock trans is still intact, stock driveshaft is still intact, and the new clutch is fine. I call that a win for sure
Also need to figure out my driveline vibration. It's almost certainly pinion angle related, I have just been lazy.
TL;DR:
Nothing new has been done and nothing has exploded yet.
