Installing remote start?2 way pager alarm in a nbs

Out of all the things I can do, Ive never attempted to install a remote start/alarm system on my own.

Im looking at a few different ones I can get wholesale, some directed electronics and some crimestopper's...

What else do I need to get it installed in my 2006 nbs CC power windows and locks factory alarm.

My question may be vague, but I dont know where to start with what i need
 
Hit up ScottyBoy...he installed both mine and Cubs Viper 5901's and did an A+ job.

I'm sure he can answer just about any question needed. Sorry, I can't be of more help.
 
buy whatever alarm you want, then you will need the passlock bypass (iirc) and any additional add ons such as auto down windows, glass break, or the tilt sensor
 
I was recommended to have one installed. But maybe thats just because every time i pick up a screw driver I end up putting it through my hand.
 
First of all, what kind of experience do you have? Have you ever installed a basic alarm on a vehicle before? A remote start alarm for your first alarm install EVER might be a bit over your head. Especially in a vehicle like yours that needs a bypass module.
 
wells iot funny. I do all my own work, I install steroes no problem, even have done a few fiberglass sub boxes in the past. But ive enver had an alarm done before....So im very good at electrical work etc, just never done an alarm.

So are these bypass modules fairly universal or....
 
On a 03-07 NBS, I've always used a GMDLBP bypass module. You can get one on Amazon for about $30.
And if you know audio and are pretty familiar with 12v wiring and relay configurations and all, then maybe you can do it. But be warned, since this is you first install be prepared to spend an entire day (or longer) getting it all wired up and mounted.
 
I've installed one remote start/alarm kit before. Never again. Then again, I hate fucking with wiring. Just have patience and take your time. Its very doable but can turn into a nightmare quickly.

took me 2 whole days, but i did it the way i wanted, solder and shrink tube everywhere
not a piece of electrical tape or a single scotch lock in the whole setup
however now that i know how to set everything up like i want im going to redo it all and move some shit around clean up the wiring
if you want it done the way you want, do it yourself, but thats just my opinion
and for instance i had my glass break sensor go bad on me ( went off every hour or so) and i knew how to bypass the glass break so it dont bother me anymore going to replace that when i get around to it as well
