Order a 12x60 roll of 3M Scotchprint 1080 Anthracite Carbon Fiber vinyl to wrap the side molding in that runs down the car under windows. Don't know how it will turn besides just seeing a few other pics online.
Not looking for permanent, just something different for now.... also heard it should add some mad power because the car will be so much lighter.
The chrome part is what is getting eradicated.... and it looks sick in person just need to find some white handles. And have the rear chrome trunk piece painted. Also ordering a black grille off eBay when I get the chance to find a gloss black one.
Ordered the trunk lip spoiler tonite should be here in a week or so. Decided to go with a OEM style versus the Ixion style. It will be painted to match when it shows up so if it arrives without any damage then it will get installed hopefully that weekend. This is what it looks like...
And this is the one I originally wanted and still like it but at some angles it looks out of place or weird. I don't know but here it is....
Also called and got a quote to have the handles and rear trunk trim piece painted and they said $240 ish with me removing parts and ordering primed rear handles. So whenever we can be without door handles for a week I'm going to have them do that. But next mod will either be order the rear diffuser or find a grille a like but if I do that it will get painted same time when I take other parts.
With the grille I need help deciding.... don't know if I want a grille with hyundai badge that is like a brushed metal look or what.... this the the setup I like personally. Colormatched edges and hood trim and gloss black on the inside. But with center badge or without? If I go without badge then it will be the stock style grille but I've posted a bunch below to see the different styles.
I do but will have to have someone photoshop it. Another sonata I've seen had a blue background with white letters... didn't look bad but I feel like black and some other color would look better.
I know it would look better in gloss black which is why I want that piece painted black but this is a cheap fix for now. I heard alot of reviews that the gloss black 3M gets scratched really easy.
My painted trunk spoiler came in today and looks awesome. Will get pics of it this evening if I can after work. I also ordered the megan racing carbon fiber roof spoiler.
The look will be complete once we get the roof painted gloss black. Going to try and have the roof, chrome door trim and grille inside all painted at the same time when the time comes.
I hope that bitch looks sweet it cost me $180 dollhairs for something that does almost absolutely nothing and just looks sick as tits.... but I'm sure it will. Need to get the back glass re tinted before I put it on though so we can make sure he gets it perfect and as dark as I want it. Anyway here are a few pics of the spoiler, not the best but it was dark once I got home and couldn't take any outside but it will be installed this weekend for sure. Wing king did a awesome job it looks just like the factory spoiler ($250 option) and the paint is perfect. So for $96 bucks with free 5 day shipping you can't beat it.
The end looks nasty but it's covered in a ton of clear wrap protecting it from getting messed up.
Think for the next mods I'm going to order the auto window modules and the sunroof so you can control them with the remote. Not many other exterior mods that aren't $400+ at the time...
