I was gonna say, but yeah do the mod, my voltage combined with the 200a alt doesn't even dip below 14amps. And I have a battery that needs(read: should be) replaced

i did big 3, deka battery and DC power 300A alt that puts out 200A at idle...no problems with power although dash still dims...dgaf as long as my volts dont drop down to 11-12 like before

I think the best was that my fan speed stayed consistent at idle. Was hoping the windows would zip up a little faster, no such luck with that

May be a stupid question but with the big 4 are you replacing the existing wire or are you running it in conjunction with the stock wire
