On the final day of 2014, i was heading back from lowes on a tool buying mission to stock my brand new tool box my brother gave me. it's not much...but it's been sorely needed:

Less than 2 miles from the house, i come up around a corner at 45 (the speed limit) and standing in the turn lane to my left is a big ass BUCK. i hit the brakes as he jumps out in front of me and i smack the fuck outta him. BOOM. FUCK! dude goes spinning off like a damn top and i pull over as soon as i can. pretty sure the deer got up...but this is what he did:

Estimate is around 2500 in damage.

a little down about my brand new truck being crunched up...i decided i needed a special meal:

Deer Chili FTW. You kill my head light, i EAT YOUR KIN, BITCH.

daaaaaaaamn where the hell are bucks in north San Antonio? Sorry to hear it. Toolbox looks nice, betcha wish you woulda gotten it a day later though lol.

on the bright side, we are swapping in a powdercoated front bumper and a painted bumper cab....and getting the roll pan painted.

Damn that blows. I know the feeling man. I obliterated a doe going 80 in Kansas a few months ago and it caused like 12k in damages if I remember correctly.

And yes, that would be the doe's leg coming out of her ass.

sorry about the damage. At least your looking on the bright side of things!

After getting tired of waiting for the claims adjuster to show up...i took the truck to them and get the check.

Bumper is at the powder coater now and should be back by tomorrow.

Apparently the k2xx lights CAN be baked open.

Just need butyl windshield sealant to seal it back up properly. (Clean the permaseal out of the lens tracks first)

those things are 450 bucks each. i'm not willing to put that in the oven just yet lol

like 200F for about 15 minutes... honestly put it on a piece of plywood - don't let it sit directly on the rack or you'll be dropping $450 lmao
