For my frame we used a swazall and a grinder. I preferred the sawzall....cut through it like butter.

Why not do the front first while you wait for extenders?

Same here..mark where it needs to be cut, drill a pilot hole in each corner of marked area, cut down each side and straight across the top and check fitment incase you have to trim a little more..if you get a couple of c clamps and clamp the notch into place you can just drill your holes and bolt it in without moving it

^x2. Make sure you drill your corners before cutting! You can create a weak point in the frame if you don't. And if you're unsure if the cut is big enough, go smaller the first time and trim it til it fits. You can always cut more, but you can't add it back as easily. That's what I did on the first side.

And btw, you can do the flip without removing the rear leaf bolts. Just remove the fronts and swing the leaf out and under the axle. You'll need an extra set of hands and a pry bar for leverage. That's if a rear bolt is being a pain like one of mine were.

Wouldn't it be easier to leave the front leaf bolts, drop the rears, swing the axel over then on top them? So you don't have to screw with the bolt by the gas tank

I just bought a new bolt for the tank, cut mine and was done. Only reason I did it that way was one rear leaf bolt welded itself to the rubber bushing and wouldn't come out.

Either way will work.
