Few questions with my drop. RCSB 4x4 (measurements and chevy lean)

coilovers are not gonna help him when he asked for help with his current setup lol
back to the topic, just throw the lift shackle on the rear, even with a one inch shackle since your springs are saggy you prob wouldnt even notice it. Rarely do you actually get the actual measurment from them

yeah, because the adjustability is so comparable with torsion bars to coilovers up front...people don't run coilovers in the rear for adjustability on trucks/suv...just saying. They do it because the significance of performance upgrade from leafs/coil springs is way greater with coilovers, same with up front. If the opposite were true, prerunners would not use coilovers, now would Jeeps etc

Just a few questions guys. Ive been through enough setups with my tahoe but this is my first with leaf springs on a nbs.

My set up is DJM arms and drop keys in front, moog uppers with offset bearings, flip kit in rear. Supposed to be a safe 4/6. Im tucking tire all the way around, but im on 31" tires

Right now im 16 1/8" hub to fender on both fronts, 14 3/8" drivers rear and 15 3/8" on pass rear. so im over an inch and a half low in the drivers rear and about half an inch on pass rear.

So either way im low in the rear. I dont want to do a full inch in the rear on the pass side since i will be higher than the front. I could probably live with the .5" lower.

Drivers rear should i do a shackle to bring it up an inch? This will bring my pass front down, so i will have to readjust and get another alignment im guessing? I could live with that i suppose.

I dont think I can go any lower in the front than where im at. Im about 16" hub to fender. is this normal for a 4" front drop on a v8 torsion bar? I could maybe go down 1/4" in front to level it out more, but what do you think? tie rods are still pretty decent i feel.

What do you guys think I should do? I could run spindles and put my stock keys back in when i get wheels, but thats not going to help my CV and idk if that will help my top bj angle?

It aligned perfect, but its pretty much at the end of the adjustment. These are moog arms with offset bushings to gain more adjustment.

hard to see with the lighting, but its definatly low in the rear

pretty bad angles already (I think, especially since I will be doing 4x4 launches. even with the offset bushings, im still almost maxed)

ok....

He was asking for advice on how to correct his lean, i really doubt he would want to go spend the money on coilovers when he just bought a drop kit
obviously you misread what i meant

except he is also talking about front end suspension too, and correcting his angles...

When you start finding ways to go lower other than normal suspension upgrades, you sacrifice drive-ability.

If you read into it more, other than the initial question, you will see that he has more than one question, and I am simply adding my input...which seems to be what this thread was all about, right?

Obviously you misread his entire first post...and I spent money on coilovers after TWO drop kits...not sure what that has to do with it. I decided I would rather have a better handling/riding vehicle than "deal" with a shitty ride and bumpsteer.

lots of good info..thanks jared..

Im fine with the tbars for now..it actually rides really nice and i dont get any bump steer right now..I just need to get that rear up high enough and not go down anymore in the front.

Where can i get an adjustable shackle? That one I posted from summit be alright? its .5" increments which would be perfect for what I need. 2.5" spring width it said.

and another question i guess for alignment..when i raise that drivers rear, its going to change the front a bit..now if im at say 30 in the front, and i adjust it to be at 30 in the front after i change that back, my alignment should be fine right?

also to go low on coil overs, i would have to switch back to stock arms, put new balljoints and bushings in, get drop spindles etc..id have another grand into the front by the time it was said and done and still be 2" low in rear

yeah, contact them and see what they say, I am clueless to the suspension on the SUV's, most of the time you do any changes to suspension you will need an alignment, is it always critical, no, some may only be a tad bit off, but still withing the allotted spec safe range. I'm anal, and get it done every time. DNW to buy new tires from shitty alignment, but I have a lifetime on my alignment.

Didn't know all that was involved with your suspension. Just good info to have at a later date.
