Love the 1/2" dewalt, takes off lugnuts easily and great for working on tractors and stuff. Also have several other dewalt toosl and bought the tool online without the battery for a lot cheaper than you can buy it with the battery and charger.
pops has dewalt, i have crapsman....both of us have lithium ions....perform very similar but his batts last a lil longer than mine. I used air and i dont like the noise, fgt hose and weight. I take my impact with me on trips and have a power inverter i can use if i wanna charge it.
I was looking at one at Home Depot earlier today, been wanting one but can't justify spending $130+ for a good one. Guess I need I need to break down and just buy one. From what I've heard they're worth the money.

Eh. To each their own. I've bought tools from HF, Home Depot, lowes, sears, etc., never had a problem with any. Other than the ratchets from sears, they seem to break quite often. I'm a firm believer in getting what you pay for, but buying the most expensive doesn't always mean you're getting the best IMO.

I'd love a portable impact. That being said, if you're gonna do it, I'd get the 18v or 19.2v(iirc). Never hurts to have more power there when you need it.
I picked up a new Milwaukee m18 fuel 1/2" impact 3 or 4 months ago. Haven't run up on anything it won't bust loose. Battery life is also extremely good

Which one do you have, the one with the friction ring, or the detent pin?
I'm definitely liking brushless stuff, may pick up one of these just because Milwaukee has so many other tools that run off the same battery!
How many people here use these electrics back-to-back with pneumatic?
I'm right now on the fence at which direction I should spend my money.
Pneumatic kind of limits me on location of use though...
Looking at drivers too and unsure if I'll go with a reg. size 18v or the small pistol size 12v.
