Well..... I was wrong. Thought it was a 2 ohm sub and if I ran it in series it'd be 1 ohm. It's a 4 ohm sub so in series it's at 2 ohms. It'll still slam but not like I wanted. Realistically this sub is 6+ years old so we'll see how long it'll last. I do plan to add a amp and an 8" Woofer to the Impala for my wife's Christmas gift so it needs to wait till the new year. Lol

Got everything wired up. Mounted the amp under the second row passenger seat so I can still lay the big seat down to haul stuff. The speaker wire isn't hide very well l so the sub can be removed easily. I ran the power wire under the fuse block cover to a stud under the hood. The factory radio really limits me as to what the sub and amp can do. But it works for now

Bought a new set of wheels and tires. 22s on 33s. Still plan to get 3" Lift spindles and 5100s all the way around

Spindles came in. Need to free up a lift to install this weekend. Also got these. Pnp led license plate lights off eBay for 13 bucks. X20 brighter than the 194 led bulb.

Installed the spindles last night. Really happy how it looks. I need to replace all ball joints before I get an alignment. Set the toe with toe plates to get me by in the mean time. Will also change toe rod ends for peace of mind.

Washed it for the first time since I got the wheels. Had some help so I didn’t have to bend down too much. Lol. Has roughly 294k miles on it. Motor is using/burning more oil than I’m ok with so I’ll be looking for a 6.0 soon

It smokes a shit ton on start up. Standing by it you can smell the oil in the exhaust burning. I’m pulling a 6.0 this weekend for it.

So I planned on using and lq4 to build. That motor was locked up. Couldn’t spin it over to save my life. So option 2 is a ly6 out of a nnbs 3/4 ton. I pulled it out and tore it down. I don’t know the history of the truck. Was bought as a parts truck. Someone recently done some work to it or tried to at least. Most of the bolts were loose. Anyways the number 7 cyl has a bent valve that said hi to the piston. So this will be a slow build as funds allow. Now for pics

5.3 started knocking Saturday. Pulled it and dropped the 6.0 in yesterday. A few small things to wrap up today and it should be running tonight.

Time for a 14 bolt out a NNBS 6.2 Tahoe, mostly so you can tell me if it bolts in to a nbs or not
