Never got into modding them but I have a ton of diecast models hanging around, along with a lot of hot wheels cars.
 
I just liked the Baker Scale Chassis Designs page on Facebook. That's pretty badass that he can make a scale replica of pretty much any vehicle. Maybe if I'm ever looking to burn some money I could get one made of my trok
 
I was just wondering how he got some of the rims, etc. Assumed he uses a 3D printer for some maybe?

There's a ton of parts for sale on eBay. Motors, turbos, wheels, suspension pieces ect. Pretty pricey stuff tho.
I stick to 164 just to keep the cost down. I'd rather make a bunch of little ones then a few big ones. Lots of talent in the big ones already.

I've got a ton of diecast hotwheels and 1/25 plastic models I have done and a ton more in progress lol

When I get time I'll have to upload some pics
 
I just remembered I had a 1/24th scale early 90s f250 eclb that I had built a few years back and was recently planning on chopping the bed and making dually fenders and putting some semi wheels on it but I think it got thrown away when I cleaned out my closet fffuuuu
 
Cool stuff!

It seems there is an explosion of pretty accurate (some even namebrand replica) parts for the current trend in scale RC vehicles. Both offroad and onroad. Might be able to apply some of those parts here if they are the correct scale anyway.

Here's a few of my 1/64. The escalade was fully detailed, and powder and chromed. Including sway bars, coil springs, kicker braces and a hand cut fts lift box. I have a few crew cab chevys I have started too but the '62 is the only finished one. Has an engine with a blower, opening hood, detailed interior and real wood bed with painted fenders and chrome strips.
 
That's pretty creative lol. Looks like it came that way. How did you attach the front end?

I use expoy for all the gluing on my models, sticks well for the most part unless I drop it on the hardwood floor :(

And for gluing the metal bodies together, like the crew '62 I use jb weld
