What's up with you southern boys and amsoil?

For me, its actually cheaper to run Amsoil. Because it come out around $50 per oil change. But with Amsoil, I can run it more than as twice as long as most other oils. So figure $50 for two conventional oil changes, why NOT run a good synthetic oil if I can do it for the same price???
And with Amsoil extended drain intervals, I can go up to 10k miles between oil changes. $50 per 10k miles is pretty good IMO. And if I were to use the "Signature Series", I can go up to 25k miles. But the SS oil cost about $9 a quart with my preferred pricing.

I use chevron synthetic 5w-40, quiets the piston slap and is cheap since the Chevron refinery is only 2 hours away. Buy it by the 55 gallon drum too lol

I can't beat the price of the Chevy dealer here in Santa Barbara. $45 for synthetic change plus delco filter

Castrol or M1, w/e is on sale at wallyworld, then a delco filter. no problems with either.
