Lol I believe you. I couldn't bring myself to think you'd use plywood unless it was a mockup, but I had to make sure

I’ve heard nothing but good things about speed engineering. A lot of the c10 swap guys are running them too. That’s what I plan to run

Makes me feel even better about my decision. I just couldn't bring myself to pay $1500+ USD for "name brand" headers for. Pacesetters weren't even in the ballpark for price, weren't stainless, and are considered the 'cheap" ones. As sexy as the Corsa headers are too, no way I would pay almost 3k CAD for them. That's more than I'll have in my cam swap when I finally get around to it. And I still can't decide if I should just go with a Stage 2, or send it and go full chop with a Stage 4 from TSP.
Same. Headers don’t give you a $3k gain in performance or sound. I don’t think I’d ever spend more than maybeeee a grand on headers. I’ve always run cheap headers and never had issues with them (other than whatever brand that was I bought for my red truck that wouldn’t clear the front driveshaft).
I say full send! Lol. That’s what I’m debating for the c10 too. I need to nail down what motor/trans combo I’m running first though. I’m considering the 6-speed but don’t know Jack about it. Not sure if it needs a converter like the 4-speeds with a big cam or not

It does require a converter. I know guys running the stage 2 get a little bit of a converter surge at idle in traffic, so I can only imagine it being worse with the stage 4. Stage 4 is only 10ish hp more than stage 2... but the chop lol
This will likely be the converter that I go with. 3000-3200 RPM stall. Apparently a street friendly stall, but will flash when you want it to, so I'm good with that.I’m going for max chop lol. The stage 4 has a nice power band and with my truck (and yours too being RCSB) being pretty light, it should be fun. I’ve seen some cheaper converters but wonder about quality. Don’t really wanna spend 800+ on one when it’s a fairly mild build.
I’ve never had anything with a cam and an auto, but I can see the surge being annoying

That’s not bad and circle D, you know you can trust. I found one that was a 2800-3k stall for like $500 but had never heard of the company

Yeah. I'm going to be saving from here on out (except getting the truck tuned of course), because we COULD Be on strike next spring. Either I'll have money saved up to get me through strike time, or I'll end up with enough cash to cam, DOD delete, and put a stall in the Sierra. Besides maybe getting the heads ported at some point, and an L86 intake and bigger throttle body, I'll be done upgrading this L83 I think. Boost is cool and all, but unless I get a good deal on an LT4 blower down the road, I think I'll be setting my sights on eventually building an L86 for this thing.
Ohhh, I didn’t even think about that. That’s happened to me before, such a small little thing can be a big PITA.
You need a Hoonigan sticker now lol
