These trucks are fairly low stock. You can crank the piss out of those keys too. Don't do a Body lift. I vote 2" crank to level or put a 6" lift with flat angles and run a 35" tire.

im not complaining just making sure its right. I got about 13.5MPG this last fill up, half tank at 180 miles Charles told me his usually gets 15-16. Is this pretty usual?

the question is, how far are you driving it? is it city driving or highway? have you changed the fuel filter and air cleaner?

They all add up, if your doing a lot of stop and go, or if your trip is real short to the point that the motor isnt up to temp it will run in a closed loop. making the motor run rich and shitty mileage.

Most L31 motors arent THAT fuel efficent. Stock 265's with 3.42's you can squeeze 18 MPG on flat land doing 70 MPH. 12-13 is the norm for knock around driving. My lifted OBS got 10-11 knock around and 13 hwy.

this one was a mix of 70/40 highway/city. It just got a tune up and new cats. Ill be mainly in town and dont expect good mileage anyway i just wanted to make sure its running right.

eh dont expect much, the OBS's the needle wont move until your like at half a tank. it was one of the things that sucked.
