Hey guys. Just got my new to me CCSB and my bed caps have a few minor dings and dents throughout making them look quite wavy Enough so that it would require some body work to get them nice and straight again. I'm debating wether to go this route or just put some GM bed cap covers over them.

I like the clean look of not having anything on there. But I guess the caps would protect the bed from any further damage. :hmm:

Whats your guys take on the covers?

Also has anyone tried fitting the newer 2014 style caps on the 07-13' models?

If you use your truck, then I say there's no problem with bed caps. I had em on my Sierra. I hate stepping on my rails now cause it's bare. I either jump out or fall out so I don't scratch it all up lol

agree with both above, as much as I don't like the look of mine on my 04 ccsb I like the protection they offer, they are all nicked up and gouged so im glad gm put them on

That's what I like about my QS bed caps. Don't have to worry about it or yell at people not to ding the hell out of them like on the CC.

I have line x over the rails on my cc works great. On my work truck it had the same issue. Dents and dings on the bed. Option was to do body work then line x over it. But for much cheaper I put plastic caps on to hide the dents and I'm having the bed sprayed

Best of both worlds

I dont use the bed for much. But it does get used from time to time for bike rides or just a run to LOWES.

But Yea I agree. As much as I like the clean look of not having them. They do offer protection. Even being careful, stuff happens. I guess I'm going to add the covers and line x the rest.

I was looking at the newer 2014 covers as they look to have a smoother appearance since they don't have the diamond plate look to them but then realized the tailgate cover and bumper has the same pattern.
