Just my opinion, I think it'd look better with a black lower valence with fogs. Other than that I love what you've done with the truck!

That looks good man!

Sent from nowhere

Thanks bro!

Fuck.

I didn't think I'd say this.

Honestly liked it better before...

Still sick though

All good dude.. I like the way it turned out!

Thanks man! I don't really want to do fogs right now.. Maybe later on.

I'll get some better pictures of it when I can get it in the sunlight.

Really torn on the back bumper... I like the white better than the chrome, but I think the plastics on the bumper and tailgate need to be cm'd to get the look I want... I don't feel like it flows with the front of the truck.

Because there's no black up front :read: chrome rear bumper and matched plastics would've flowed better :imo:

Still a fucking badass truck though, it looks awesome as is man.

The main reason I got the rear bumper is because the one that was on there was dented, and I got a steal of a deal on this one (it's not dented)..

Thinking I should just cm all the plastic and call it good.

Like I said on ig, normally not a fan of cm lower valance but I think this truck pulls it off..03+ valances look terrible when colormatched a light color imo but 99-02 are small enough that they dont look as bad..as for the rear bumper, looks tits like it is I think if you cm the plastic it will be way too much white..

I think I'd like it a lot better of the front bumper was

Matched cap, white bumper and black valance. Chrome just doesn't flow with all the brushed and I've never liked matched balances. Especially white.

Still super jelly though. Need to post some better pics :read:

As long as you like it, that's all the matters.

what was the process you use for scuffing the chrome

I think the bumper was paintable.. My painter had it laying around, so he cut me a deal on it. I think it was pewter before he shot it white.

Been thinking about painting the handles and getting some billet wheels. That would make the chrome stuff flow better.

I like how the valance turned out, wasn't sure about it at first, but I dig it now.

I will be posting some better pics hopefully soon. Gotta get it cleaned up first, it's nasty dirty.

Love the front color match, if anything I would have left the center bar of the grille chrome. And if you do plan on fogs I think the z71 valance and fogs are sweet.

If this helps any some all white plastics

That looks good to me. I like the nbs rear bumper fully CM'd. I'm thinking, CM the bumper pads, CM the tailgate cap, and shave the tailgate handle = done..
I don't think it will be too much white if I do all of that, because it would be the same way with a molded roll pan, all white.

I plan on doing some pin striping on the hood and tailgate, so that will break up all the white, and give it some contrast.

Thanks James P, that picture helped...

Also, the front is staying like it is. Super pumped on the way it turned out!

I definitely agree with the all white rear bumper now. That hoe looks sick like that.

I put the 2 pictures together so it can be compared easier.

I'm digging it!

Anybody wanna Photoshop it? lol

No I mean the handles and other stuff you did

Oh... I used a scotch brite wheel on my dremel. Took maybe 30 minutes to do both. I went pretty slow with it so I wouldn't scuff the paint on the bezel.

Why not just run a full shaved tailgate with no cap?

That would look more better. Are these caps just glued on? Or are there holes that have to be filled? Never taken one off...

Fuckin sick bro! That looks awesome!

So the 4 small holes are all that needs to be filled? That should be easy.

Why is it that every paint and body guy that I talk to, attempts to discourage me from painting the rear bumper plastics? Is it that hard?
I can understand on a "regular" truck, that if you step on the bumper pads a lot, than that would cause damage to the paint. I'm not that worried about stepping on the bumper, when it's merely inches off of the ground.

Is it a huge deal to paint the plastics?

There are 4 holes I believe under the cab no larger that 1/4 inch and that's it. They are held on with double sided tape

As far as I know, no lol. Just like any plastics it needs to be sanded smooth. I step on mine all the time and it doesn't chip. There are plenty out there that have white plastics that have had zero issues.
