So this project has been going on since March of this year, and so I figured it's time to start one of these build threads... Here goes nothing!

For at least 2 years layindoor84 (Ronnie) and myself had been searching the interweb and shows looking for the right truck for me. I had been wanting to get a bagged truck to cruise around in and go to some shows in too.
We looked at countless trucks, talked to countless truck owners, and couldn't seem to find what I was looking for.

So finally layindoor84 (Ronnie) says, "let's just find a nice stock truck, and I'll build it!". Ronnie has built quite a few bagged rides in his day, and even helped out ekstensive metal works a few times with some overflow work, at his house, when they couldn't get to something.

Well, that was all it took.

After looking on craigslist, autotrader and the likes, we found the 02 RCSB that ended up being the right one.

The truck was in Beaumont, TX (3 hours away from where I live, in Tyler, TX). BUT, only about 30 minutes from where Ronnie lives!
So after we talked about it, Ronnie went and looked at the truck and told me, "man if it were my money, I'd buy it in a heart beat!".

At this point I had only seen 1 or 2 pretty blurry pictures of this truck (the guy selling it was in his late 60s, and a bit shaky with the camera...) But I trusted Ronnie's opinion on it.
I wired him the money, he went and bought the truck, and took it back to CP Suspension Works where the transformation would take place.

After 4 months, a lot of sweat, and a pile of money, the truck is almost ready for delivery.

I gotta say, to have a friend like Ronnie is isn't what most would consider possible. He is one of the best guys I know, hands down! (no homo.... lol)

But that's enough about the story, here's the truck!

Thanks again homie!

The truck is bagged on 24" Marcellino Concepts. We used the EKMW 24-28 kit with 2 link rear, on Air Lift bags. The rear axle was narrowed 1.5" on each side, and Moser axle shafts went in to complete the rear end. The firewall was tubbed, the inner fenders were replaced by a set of trailer fenders, and fabricated to fit. The coolant overflow was relocated along with the ECU and fuses. The vacuum brake system was replaced by a hydroboost system. The transmission cross member was modified and flushed with the frame rails.

Thanks man! It has the 4.3l in it. It will get a new heart at some point.. Will probably put a 5.3L in it.

Here's a better picture.

ok makes sense now. I knew by the intake it wasnt LS based, and was curious.

It will make a great bagged crusier though

Thanks! It will be a great cruiser for now, It will eventually get a new heart beat... Then I'll be able to do some nasty burnouts! lol

thats a nice little truck ya got there

Thank ya!

That is bad ass!

I know right? lol! Thanks bud!

looks like it was a clean virgin truck when you bought it, way to ruin it!

Good work man, makes me want 24s

Dude, it's way clean! Not a scratch or dent in the paint. Not too bad for a 12 year old truck! 24s look so good on these body styles, I couldn't have gone any smaller and been so pleased with it...

Oh, and all the credit on this one goes to Ronnie (layindoor84) !!!!!!!!

I ordered some Esky handles last night. I will post more pictures of it once I get it back up here and detailed.

I can't wait to drive this thing! I've owned it for 4 months and still haven't driven it. lol

Looks good man. Def looks like he did a good job on it. You'll have to drive it over to Shreveport for a meet sometime :shake:

Looking good, liking those wheels more everytime I see them.

Thanks! I am loving the way it looks too!
