This is a thread that I wanted to start showing me moreless re-building my '08 again. I got a lot of new parts to go on, parts that I've been collecting all last summer and fall of last year. I also plan on completely changing the look of it as well. Wanting to go with almost a Cen-Cal look back on 33s again. This last year, I admit I have been neglecting this thing and it needs a lot of work done on it. Mid-April, just 10 days after getting my Fab Fours bumper put on I had a deer run into the side of me causing $1,800 worth of damage to it. It left a deep scratch in the extended cab door, a good dent ahead of the wheel well and puckered the sheet metal on the very bottom and on the body line above the fuel door. The plan was to fix everything myself, paint the door, and completely re paint the whole box including the opposite side which is peppered with rock chips.

During Christmas Eve, I caused even more work for myself. I backed into one of our farm pickups smashing in the back right corner and messing up the bumper. That caused just under $3,000 worth of damage. The adjuster wrote up the estimate for a whole new boxside, but everyone I've talked to said that dent could be fixed.

So what my immediate plans are to get the cab and bed fixed, including the damage to each side, fix all the little waves, dings here and there, and lastly all the rock chips. Then it will get some more Rhino Lining done, such as the rear wheel wells and wanting to do lined bed caps on top of the box. I might have the bed done as well. The Fab Fours bumper will be coming off and I got a '09 bumper to pick up soon.

Basically all the other parts will speak for themselves.

Moto Metal 962s 20x12s. Picked these up for around $930-something shipped. Got new TPMS sensors to go in these as well. Going to figure out a new center cap before these go on.

Painted tows. The outside shell on the driver side mirror needs some touching up. Why these aren't on yet. Painted these back in March of '12.

Shock tabs and U-bolt plates from Ruff Stuff Specialties. Will get U bolts bent up locally. The plates go on top of the leaf springs and you use U shaped U bolts to get rid of the ugly dirt collecting OEM bolt saddles.

Can't remember if this was an Escalade or a Denali steering wheel. Burlwood will be painted. Along with other interior pieces will get repainted a different color.

These have been waiting to go in for a long time too. JL 3-way components. Will build fiberglass pods on the doors for these to go into.

Naw, 5% tinted windows finally caught up to me. This thing should be in the body shop next week/weekend-ish. Having someone fix the damage and get into primer.

Picked this '09 OEM bumper up from a friend last weekend. Fogs, brackets, everything. Thinking I'll take my center bar from my own original OEM bumper, repaint and replace it on this bumper.

My backyard is a cotton field and across the street is a soybean field. My brother works summers on a hay farm. Farming has always been a part of life around here and that's just a really neat picture. Truck looks good there.

Talked to the guy that will be doing the bodywork, should be able to get me in the first of next week. Dropping off the rims to get tires mounted up this week as well.

I personally like the picture right above the one you're talking about with the tractor. I grew up on the family farm and it's me, my Dad and Grandfather running the farm and ranch. Wouldn't trade the life for anything else really.

In for awesomeness. Always liked your truck man, glad to see you active over here.

Thanks. I lurk over here off and on.

You have a fair amount of work ahead of you sir. Should turn out looking great, even though it does now. Like I said before, need to have some kind of meet this summer/fall.

I think I'm going to do a push through center cap on these rims. I'm not really feeling those smooth plates that guy made up for his rims. I spoke to this guy about his caps and would like to try something like what he did... http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=256586

Yes we do. You should come over for the Wheel Jam truck show this coming June.

I'm already busy the first 3 weekends in June :tableflip:

In other news, got tires mounted up yesterday. Pictures tonight.

Damn it. First weekend in June, I'll be in ND for a demolition derby. Second weekend the truck show. I'd like to make it over to Kasson, MN to the truck show and truck pulls over there. Big Rig Nationals I think it is. We should plan a meat der.
