Would appear to be correct. Thats the one thing I will miss about the pioneer DD's, they have a button to turn the backup camera on whenever. My new unit wont do that so a switch might be in order, I never even though about that haha.

Not about this camera, but don't want to start a new thread. But with my back up camera my rca keeps failing, any ideas?
Really??? That seems pretty odd for soemthing like that to happen. i'd think you have too much power going thru it and maybe not a good ground.
i have no idea, I run the rca from the camera to HU, then I also have a reverse wire on the HU that I run to camera
