Aftermarket might be cheaper with better range but my grand prix factory one still had good range(hundreds of feet, probably 400 from where i would start my car at work) and in winter would turn on seat warmers on and full blast the heater, in summer woukd full blast ac didn't matter what i had it set on

Same thing with my aftermarket...... but i had like a 1000 foot range.
