2003 Silverado 1500 build thread

for being the punk ass kid that wrecked his truck before he had a license, you did do a good job on making this truck nice. I like your valance colormatching, it is different, and looks great.
Yeah i learned a huge lesson from that. I want to shoot myself for doing that, I'd sure rather have that truck, but oh well my dumbass fault for doing it. Thanks on the valance, that reminds me i've got to touch it up from where that tow strap broke :shake:

You're welcome for link to that grille sir.
Yes thank you, i never thought i would get that thing lol

You should rep me or leave me some feedback :imo:

Things you will need:
  • Suede (or material of your choice)
  • Scissors
  • Xacto knife or a straight razor (either is fine, but I prefered the razor.) MAKE SHURE TO HAVE SPARE BLADES
  • Glue
  • Ratchet with extender and 7mm socket
  • Sharpie
  • Plastic knife (or something dull to tuck fabric)
  • Painters tape
  • Something to mark your patterns on (I used wraping paper)
  • Something to keep the area clean (I used cardboard)
Some of the supplies.

IMG_1560.jpg

Wait for the glue to tack up, then lay the fabric down and start smoothing it with your hands.
IMG_1561.jpg

Now start tucking the material.
IMG_1563.jpg

Remove the tape to finish tucking.

I know it's old but just ran across this a few days ago. Might try it soon to match the headliner I have.
