Started the next build today with the intimidator being completed last week. Just got the truck opened up to get it ready to be cut on

I will try to keep this thread pretty detailed as far as anything I have to do to get it laying flat. It's far too often I see crewcabs and they don't lay flat. the front is almost always higher. Not sure if it's people over notching the rear or just not getting the front down.
 
While were on the notch topic. How deep for the notch and i looking to lay a 275 30 24. I know a 265 35 22 was like 2"

I like to run nice size bumpstops on vehicles I build. 275/30r24 is only ~1.25" bigger than a 265/35r22. I removed the factory bumpstop mounts and bump stocks from the SS I just did and Used them on the bottom of the notch for it and it was perfect. It was with a 10" notch. If you don't want that much you definitely don't have to have it that large. He wanted the big notch cover and tubs though.
 
Yea im not into all that big notch shit. Im trying to keep my bed as functional as possible. Probably going to cut the factory bumpstop to the first bellow and over notch that much. I plan on raising the bed floor and hopefully the bed will still be slightly functional
 
When you're relocating these fuse boxes and what not are you like..cutting each wire and extending them? Or pulling out from loom and just moving?
 
you only have to extend the wires for your ABS sensors, Brake Reservoir sensor, wiper motor, headlight, turn signal and fogs, and Efans (if equipped). the engine harness and interior harness can be left alone.

I always wondered how miserable it was to do, I figured it was just moving them out the way for the large majority of it. :shake:

if you leave it in the engine bay you only have to extend the main power wire from the battery to the relay box and possibly the RVC Plug on the negative ground wire depending on where you locate the battery in reference to the Relay box.
 
Well boys, the plans for the truck have changed. The truck will no longer be on 26's. the truck will be getting the 24" sweeps I used to have. the tires will be 285/35r24 front and 295/35r24 rears.
 
Niice. 26s would have been nice to see but can't go wrong with the sweeps.
