12 bent valves, marginal valve guides....so mucho dinero later....heads are getting fully rebuilt...new valves, new guides, valve job. Good news is they pressure tested good, so no cracks :emo:

Daaamn that sucks. Sdpc has ready to roll for 500/ea new. Hope you didnt end up too deep in the hole

i never slapped the heads on...I took em to a machine shop and they checked them out and came back with those findings. Im still below the $1100 for new 243s so not even mad. Heads looked clean as fuck when I picked them up, I poured water in all 16 ports and none leaked..not much I couldve done on the spot

$350 on heads, $200 on valve job/mill/tank/pressure test and 250 on valves/guides/labor. Went over what I expected paying by $250 but now Ive got fully rebuilt heads that should last me another 100k+

Finna try to duplicate this build somewhat. Not going with bigger cam but I do plan (For now) on adding NO2. Should put me around 550hp on juice. Stage 1 and 2 are what Im gonna try to duplicate with slight variances...results should be very similar :pepper:

Got a P1516 code this morning after stopping for some coffee. I'll be pulling the truck (87mm) TB off, cleaning it and reinstalling. Foken code could be a multitude of things from bad TAC, bad X-link (Not likely per X-link FAQs), bad TB, bad grounds or bad TB wiring.

First thing to check is if TB blade is binding and if its got any play at the blade. If it all checks out, finna take a DMM to it and spec it. If that dont fix it, check wiring for broken/loose cables.

If all else fails, im buying a new TB :nono:

Stay tuned

20 miles after uhaul hooked it up. Hit a dip..trailer came off the ball...coasted to a stop and it went under me.
