So some of you know already but I'm bored and figured why not make a thread for this truck

Last year around this time I bought a 2006 BMW 325 for a daily. Got it cheap because it was overheating. Needed a water pump and thermostat. Paid $1700 for the car and another $800ish in parts. Fixed it myself and daily'd it for around 8-9 months. It was a fun little car for what it was.

One day I had a conversation with Wesley (Gannon) that led to me planning on buying his blue rcsb sierra. He offered the idea of trading my car +cash for the truck. I jumped on it and we made the trade mid February.

Ever since then, I've been daily driving the truck and loving it. I've done a handful of things to it but it already had most of what I would have done anyway plus some. Ill try to make a mod list of whats done but I'm sure ill miss some.

Mod list (off the top of my head)

Drivetrain/suspension-
Motor has tsp220 cam, springs, rods, e-fans.
Tuned.
Longtubes.
E-cutout.
Rebuilt tranny with yank 3k stall.
Oregon tranny cooler.
4:10 with trutrac.
6/8 drop.
Helper bags.

Exterior-
HD hood cut to fit the sierra lights.
03 grille. (Plan on swapping to 03 bumper)
Escalade handles.
Dl3 mirrors. (Powerfold works)
Silverado tails.

Interior-
New carpet.
Suede headliner.
All interior swapped to graphite.
Power leather seats.
Full center console.
Escalade cluster.
NNBS Escalade shifter.
Kenwood DD.
Weather techs.
Escalade interior handles.
Led bulbs.

Mods I've done so far-
Forever Sharp billet steering wheel.
Cadillac XTS rear view mirror.
New foglights with new harnesses.
New led head/fog bulbs.
Escalade antenna delete cowl piece.
3 piece engine cover.
New water pump/thermostat/housing.
Swapped to oem silverado 20s. (245/45s)
Bought Denali headlights. (Need to clear them)

Planned mods- (at some point)
Gmc caps for the wheels.
03 bumper.
Shaved gate.
Coilovers.
Wuhan war whistle.
Denali heads.
Center console shifter.
SS tailgate cap. (Maybe)
Full repaint eventually. (No rush on this part)
New tune.
Caltracs or something similar.

Ram wheels went on the black truck and the Silverado 20s went on the 245/45s and then onto the blue truck. The blue truck saw 3 sets of wheels in 4 days. Lol.

That looks badass. I admit I’m not a huge fan of the HD hood on many rides, but it looks damn good on your truck. Makes me reconsider doing that to my ‘03 Yukon.

It really is. I love driving it. Completely different world than the crew cab although I think that truck may actually be quicker lol.

That looks badass. I admit I’m not a huge fan of the HD hood on many rides, but it looks damn good on your truck. Makes me reconsider doing that to my ‘03 Yukon.

I've really thought about it lol. Need to get the 2pc installed on the crew cab first though. Don't really wanna break another driveshaft.

looks like a fun truck. I think a set of GMC 20's would be a better fit for it.
I always liked the 03+ grill with the 99-02 bumper but can see the preference for the bumper as well.
One thing i did to my GMC was plastidip the air dam black - thought it cleaned up the front end nicely although the grey doesnt look too out of place.

If that ones in good shape, just tape off the bumper/front of the truck, scuff with a scotchbrite pad and spray that one with black Krylon. That’s what I did on my old red truck for all the black plastics and it worked great and held up really well.

It has a crack but its really not noticeable. It'll just be temporary until i get the 03 bumper ready to go on anyway. I've just been putting it off lol.

Finally scooped another valance at a parts yard. Still planning on doing the 03+ swap eventually but this looks way better in the mean time.

Scuffed the oem gray valance with a green scotch brite, few coats of adhesion promoter and several coats of krylon for plastic (something like that) semi gloss.

So a little over a week ago, my polished 20s were stolen out of my truck at work. Spent some time looking for something to replace them and wasn't finding much. Ended up coming across these 2021 pull-offs at a Chevrolet dealership in the service drive. It was about an hour away but they were only listed for $300 with Tpms and no tires! Snatched them up and put them on the truck yesterday.

Happy with them for the deal I got. Still miss the look of the polished wheels but they are a dime a dozen and I can always buy another set.
