not trying to argue here, but LTL is a broad term that is used across the trucking industry, referring to having more then one "shipment" in the truck. like half the load going one place, and the other half going somewhere else, hence its not a full truckload or freight shipment. While most hot shots are LTL, i wouldnt consider LTL another name for hot shot. its the method of trucking that they are doing. my senior capstone was on the trucking industry, very interesting industry.
