Who has trimmed the BJ bolt on NBS to fit Oem 17s?

Looking to get some stock 17's for spares. Who has trimmed the BJ bolt orc what needs to be done, cutoff wheel? Is it safe? Looking at these while I save up for Billets n use my current 22s on my tahoe

My belltech kit came with a shorter nut for the bj. I cut mine about 3/4 threads away from the nut. Mines been fine for the last 3/4 months. Actually I never even went back to check the torque, I probably should do that...:fp:

Cut mine on my setup, no problems at all. Just use a cut off wheel and it works fine.

Cut mine flush with the bottom of the nut for my mcg 2" 17+ spindles

I think I used a sawzall to chop the bolt off then ground it down with a flapper wheel..only because I didnt have a cutoff wheel at the house lol

Got em on, had to grind some of the nut on the bottom (don't think the shop used the thinner one supplied) what size comes in the McGaughys for lower BJ?
