Just what the title says. Looking to put long tube headers and exhaust on my 4.3... It has no cats right now as well and I'm not sure if I should get them put back on.. As far as exhaust I'd like to get a nice low rumble sound out of it but I know there are limitations being that it is a v6.. Just looking to do a little upgrades that I can live with until I drop a 6.0 in it. Thoughts? Questions? Concerns?

Waste of money IMO. It will only gain you sound, not performance.
If you added headers and then got a tune to work together with them, along with an intake, then you would probably gain a minimal amount of horsepower. And I stress the word "minimal". I would just save that money towards a v8 swap, even if its only a 5.3

word no sense in dropping a few hundred on mods that won't transfer over to a V8 kinda a waste. If anything, do a cat back exhaust and focus on trans and drivetrain mods to support that 5.3 when you drop it in.

Save up for the 6.0

I'd try to keep that 4.3 as quiet as possible. Do not sound good with performance exhaust IMO.

THIS. I had a 4.3 S10 in high school that had dual exhaust and it sounded like complete shit

If you want more seat of the pants gains, regear to a lower (numerically higher) ratio. That will benefit you now and after a v8 swap.
