THEFT LOCKED gmt900 OEM nav unit

So i bought an OEM nav unit out of my buddy's '08 Sierra Denali, I want to swap it into my '07 Yukon Denali...........both trucks have BOSE, all of the connectors are the same and everything plugs in and fits great but the new headunit is THEFT LOCKED...............anyway to unlock it?

^ like he said, pretty sure you can bring it to dealer to be unlocked

the older units you can do yourself, iirc some you can enter a code in or something

i know i can go to a dealer but didnt want to spend $100 for them to unlock it especially since they told me no guarantee it would work

The only way is to go to the dealer, I installed a new stock radio with usb on my dad 08 avy and had to pay $100
