tail light fitment

hello gents, just got a 2000 sierra and want to put on some silverado tails. I was wondering if they just bolt up or if I have to modify them in any way?

Also how do I wire the fogs I just bought if my truck doesnt come with them? I hope someone could give me some insight on these subjects before I start back work next week. Thanks sorry if I went about this wrong

Silvy tails will bolt up, but you'll either have to swap tail light harnesses or modify the stock ones to fit the silverado tails.

I did the harness swap and IMO it's easier than cutting, soldering, grinding. They literally unplug from a junction box beside the spare tire on the driver's side and come right out.

I have Silvy tails on my 06 Sierra which had the same style tails/harness as your truck.

I just cut an 1/8th of an inch out of the sockets in the tail light... it is working fine

Got mine from the stealership... Gannon's options he posted are definitely the cheapest routes though.
