swaping double dins

Idk about those specific models but my buddy went from a Pioneer Avic to a newer Pioneer model that does everything through his phone and had to rewire it.

So I had a pioneer d3 in my truck and the gf got me a x5600bhs by pioneer. Is the install harness and stuff the same so I can just plug this one in or do I need to rewire it?

All depends on if the wiring harness on the D3 is the same as the one on the x5600bs. Probably isn't the same though

you dk how to match colored wires and crimp cap them together?

i also have to install the satalite radio shit, and the bluetooth microphone and some other stuff. just easier that way

What's wrong with the D3?

i have alternator whine, i had a 2 shops tell me they thought it was the headunit itself, and someone also said it could be the power wire too close to the outputs.

when the shop installs i will have them let me know, if it isnt the head unit i will prolly sell it. use that money to buy something else. or to recoop from buying FFR tie rods this weekend.

Imo. I soldered, heat shrunk, and did mine all fancy like on my counter the other night.
Took about 15 min. Then plug into truck and voila.

:imo: crimp cap might as well just use fucking wire nuts

if the trucks going to the shop to fix the remote start, might as well have them install it so i know i dont have alternator whine anymore.

Make sure you get a solid ground when you put the new one in Bryan, that's often the cause of the whine. My brother had it on his NNBS, we took his Kenwood double din out, re-soldered the ground and it fixed the issue.

One of the things I did that helped quite a bit actually:
I took a copper plate drilled holes in it for the prep ur connections and soldered all the preout grounds to it and stripped a portion of the ground for the HU and soldered it to the plate as well

i have like 2 or 3 ground wires on the current one jordan. helped but didnt get rid of it. i want the new one to not whine.
you dont want this either, you want one good solid ground. multiple grounds cause a ground loop which can cause alternator whine iirc.
