Alright so idk the exact problem, but i noticed it before i drove down here to florida but, when i turn the key in the truck right before i crank it the oil pressure gauge pegs out past 80.
I am pretty certain its not the oil pressure sending unit/switch on the back of the manifold see as how it was replaced when this new crate engine was installed (not even 5k miles on it)
The oil pressure is under my impression normal (reading between 60-80 mainly 70) Was told that the crate engines have high volume oil pumps which in theory explains the high (normal) pressure?
Oil Level is perfect no leaks everything is golden, i just wasnt sure what the reason would be for the gauge to peg out BEFORE startup.
Perhaps stepper motor?
Any help is appreciated.
