OBS Door panel retainer/clips

Ok i need new door panel clips i have plastic ones and i have ordered them before and replaced em with plastic ones then when i got on rockauto i came across this

plastic clips and the metal ones? anyone know what the metal ones are for?? :think:

metal ones look like rivets, not sure why youd want them in your door panel

my guess is for the removable panel to get the window regulator and what not inside the door.

still have no clue wasnt wanting the metal ones just saw them with the plastics

Wouldn't put in metal tabs. Instead of tabs breaking it would just tear up your door panel.

i aint gonna use em just had no clue what they were used for when i searched for door panel clips these showed up in the same package as the plastic ones of course i wouldnt use them

Looks like rivets for the window regulator :imo:. Save them for when your regulator goes out.

yea when you pull it appart rivets hold some shit together, you dont need them unless your really digging into the door. lol

You stick the long portion into a rivet gun, rotate the handle a few times and that snaps off and the other end holds the regulator in place.

All my obs had an insert in the door then a more slender plastic clip inside. Held up berrer for me. I agree on usage for rivets, unless maybe to try to hold on pos 88-94 armrest lol

my OBS door panel uses push rivets that go into a retainer. not just normal tree style clips :shrug:
