Hey everyone, my name is Noe. I've been a member of this forum since last October but haven't really had the chance to post anything, just browse here and there. I own a 2013 GMC Sierra regular cab short bed or as it's known on here a RCSB lol
It's a long story but here it is. About a year and a half ago when I used to work at a dealership, I was on my way home from work one day and I saw this truck that had been put up on the new car lot. It didn't really interest me that much at first because I thought I wasn't gonna be able to afford it lol. But after passing it almost every day for the next 2 months, it started to grow on me and decided that I had to have it. So after some talks (and an argument lol) with one of the salesman, I bought it
Here's when it was sitting on the lot for almost 2 months
It hurt, but this is what I traded in to buy this truck...my first ride
Here's when I took delivery of it
A couple days later, I took the badges off and tinted the windows
One of the things that sucks about living in South Florida is that there old people on the road that are driving that really shouldn't. I say that because this happened...
I was stopped at a light one night when this old guy who didn't know where he was going clipped the right rear corner of the cab and scratched up the side of the bed When I say that I was pissed that night, I was pissed! The old guy had insurance but that was just the beginning of it. My claim was all fucked up and the body shop that I took it to, thinking that their work was good, fucked it up even worse instead of taking their time like they said they would (they told me a week and a half) they gave me back my truck after 2 days and it looked like shit. There were still sanding marks from where they had laid down the primer, over spray on the passenger door jamb, some kind of glue on my mirror and whoever buffed it after paint swirled up the whole right side of the bed. I took it back to the body shop the day after but by that point I knew it wasn't gonna be right again. Anyway, some stuff went down at where I worked and I wasn't able to spend any money on my truck like I had planned. After a couple months I bought some 2" lowering shackles and left it that.
Taking some measurements lol
It's kind of hard to tell but here it is before
And after
And that's how it sits as of today lol. I quit my job at the dealer and about to start a better job pretty soon so I'm hoping to save up some chips and do a 4/6 drop finally lol. I couldn't decide at first whether to do a 3/5 or 5/7 drop so I just decided to go halfway since I've read a lot of bad things about going too low on these trucks. That and it's still pretty new lol. I have a lot of plans for this truck and I hope that I can get some help from you guys on CGM. Positive, negative, do's and don'ts, I'd appreciate anything
P.S. one of the things I've noticed on here is that there is a lot of slang and terminology lol so if I ask a stupid question you already know why lol
