Need help!

Has anybody painted over chrome? I heard it's not easy, and wouldn't normally be concerned. But if I do my front bumper. Will it start chipping/flaking with the normal wear and tear a front bumper takes? Bugs, Rocks from gravel road, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced

only thing ive heard is to really prep it by sanding it down, something to have the paint adhere to. what im gona have to have done when i get my chrome painted.

sand it down. painting directly over will only last a small time. The paint has nothing to "stick" to.

yea, to tell you the truth if you have a simple color like black, white, red, etc. take it to a powder coated he will sandblast the chrome off and then the powder will hold up very very well compaired to paint
