This past weekend, my wife was in an accident. She wasn't paying attention and she slammed into the back of her dad's truck at a red light. Did minor damage to his 2012 Silverado, but it was enough damage caused on the Altima that State Farm said its a total loss. My 8 year old daughter was in the car with her, thankfully they are both OK other than a huge abrasion on my daughters neck from the seatbelt.

She was following her parents, as they were going to meet up somewhere for lunch. I'm actually glad it was her dads truck and not some stranger who will be claiming false injuries and try to sue us.

Yeah, it could have been MUCH worse. I'm glad they were both able to walk away from it. And her parents didn't suffer any injuries at all.

We already went and got her a new car. I was NOT expecting a new car note anytime soon, but shit happens. We were looking at used cars, but thanks to my brother for ruining my credit, they wanted damn near 30% interest! Fuck that! I'm not paying $500+ a month for a used car with no warranty. Since we financed the the 05 thru NMAC, we at least had good standings with them. They were able to get us approved on a 2014 Altima for 7.9% interest, which I think is actually damn good considering my credit isnt even 550 right now.
So we were able to get a Gunmetal gray 2014 Altima SV for just under $400 a month. :success:

Nah, its a 4-banger. Bitches wanted like 5-6 grand more for a V6. But its decently optioned. No leather or sunroof, but it has the "sport package" with alloy wheels, side moldings, and the spoiler. Also has the "tech package" which is basically the best system you can get without navigation. It has USB inputs, 3.5mm audio inputs, Bluetooth hands free plus audio streaming. The radio even shows the song title on the screen all via Bluetooth. XM radio with a free 6 month subscription, plus it has the backup camera too. It even has this text to voice shit. When you get a text, the audio pauses and you hear a woman's voice (like a GPS) announce an incoming text message from (persons name). To hear it, just press a button on the steering wheel and it will read the text over the speakers.

Still trying to get used to this pushbutton start. Its weird not having to stick a key in the ignition.
Oh, and this factory remote start sucks balls. The wife likes it but I hate it because I am spoiled with my two away with a lot more range.

That looks worse than you made it sound the other day. Glad everyone is ok though.

The bumper being pushed back so far is the worst part. Because it hit the receiver hitch, it bent in like a V. Almost looks like she hit a pole. I was gonna buy it back and start fixing it myself with junkyard parts. Its all bolt on stuff that it damaged. The subframe and the unibody are not even damaged. But fucking State Farm wants $1750 to buy it back. Not worth fixing at that price, even with used parts. Altimas of that year are going anywhere from $3500-$6500 and it will cost about $3000 to get everything fixed and repainted. That's puts me at 5k into it. Not worth it IMO. If they would have let me get it for under $1000, then I would do it. Mainly because I know the drive train is in pristine condition. I ran Mobil 1 synthetic since the very first oil change at 3000 miles shortly after buying the car in 05. Then ever since 2009, I have been running Amsoil in it. It has 130k miles now, and at 120k I had to change the valve cover gasket because it started seeping oil out. Here is what the inside of the engine looked like at 120k.
