Swaybar powdered? I can get one from a 2002 tahoe, is it the same?
Edit: sway bar being picked up this weekend
Been looking around and I guess I can get energy suspension LCA.
Everything on the kit will get powdered RAL 2004 orange except the CV spacers. I'll also be powdering the LCA's (I have extras). Going to leave the UCA's until I can afford some FTS/Cognito UCA's, which I'll then powder Orange[/quote]
Got the FTS 7" lift springs today. I will say that the shipping method was piss poor, as a matter of opinion, DO NOT order their springs unless you plan on repainting/powdercoating them. They were shipped alone with a label on them, and suffered a lot of cosmetic damage to the finish.
I was able to get the bushings out with a few whacks of a 3lb hammer and a 1&1/8 and 1&3/16 sockets. I'm glad because now I'll be able to reuse them, saving me like $75 in bushing kits for them. Still need to find a set of centerpins though.
Also, McGaughy's instructions suggested that the "steering stop knobs" on the LCA be ground down to offer more space for the new McGaughy's knuckle to turn more freely. I'm damn glad that I read that in the instructions before I had my LCA's powdercoated! So I cut off the bumpstops pre-powder so I don't have to hack on the LCA's after they're powdered.
After
Set of *******'s HID's 5000k H1 bulbs I won in a contest from him FINALLY came in.
Also my shock extenders for the new lift kit (to enable me to crank to 8-9") I think I'll have them powdered orange too.
Spent a few hours cleaning up the rear axle, wire brushed it by hand and by drill, washed it then hit it with 2-3 coats of VHT engine enamel.
I wasn't about to put orange powdered leaf springs on a rusty axle
