Had this truck since my sophomore year. Always wanted to ls swap it now I'm getting around to it.

Was originally going to be a lq9 that I was getting in return for doing a cam swap, and help with an ls swap. Motor ended up having water in it. So I got it and $1200. Have a set of cnc'd 317's from a buddy. Picked up a set of forged Pistons and rods on them for 500$. Motor only had 5k on it. Guys going turbo so I got a good deal. As far as the truck it has a 4l60e and a ratchet shifter. Gonna run It until it blows.

I run a trucking company. Don't let the stuff fool you I'm a broke ass 19 year old college kid. Just don't have any bills lol. The vettes a ls2 car, cam headers, clutch, z06 axles, and built t56 by a local shop. Car was dyno'd by previous owner and made 490 wheel

Time to get this show back on the road. I ordered mounts last week to jump start building this damn thing. Pulled the motor apart and the bottom ended up looking fine after cleaning it up. With that being said, I'll be putting my rotating assembly aside for when this one pops.

Gonna try running it the way it is if it runs awesome if not I'll just have it rebuilt with my rotating assembly. Jumping back into this build ordered mounts last week the should be here Wednesday

My goal is to have the truck running and driving n/a so I can just cruise in it to turkey drag. Then a week after turkey drag I take my finals and will be out for winter break. So I figured I could spend my time pulling it apart to do all the fab work for the turbo. Slowly but surely gonna try and knock it out. I found an 8.8 a 2 hours away and I'm trying to decide whether or not to go get it

Mounts came seem to be good quality now just need to see how they fit In

Trust me I know lol I'm not sure if I want to get one now or when I pull it apart during winter. With it being so cheap I need to just bite the bullet if I get some time to go get it.

Well I got these from my old man this week. Ended up pulling the motor. He gave them and a th400 because he won't be using either in his 85. Will probably end up leaving the th400 around until I turbo the truck. Will have pics coming up soon just forgot to take them https://vimeo.com/184136193

Picked my truck up from my dads today to take to a buddies shop to finish the swap. He lives 5 minutes from my house vs 30 for my dads and has a welder. I'll have to notch the frame to keep my low mount a/c compressor.
